The purpose of this guide is to streamline your access to literature resources in the HPU libraries.
To access these resources off-campus you must login to Campus Pipeline, select the Libraries' tab, then select the Databases link under Research Tools. This process authenticates your computer with our publishers and vendors, and enables you to access our electronic resources.

MLA (Modern Language Association) style is most commonly used to write papers and cite sources within the liberal arts and humanities. This resource, updated to reflect the MLA Handbook (8th ed.), offers examples for the general format of MLA research papers, in-text citations, endnotes/footnotes, and the Works Cited page.

This is a free online tool that will organize the bibliographic information you input into MLA format (also offers APA, Turabian, and Chicago styles). Do not rely on this tool without double-checking your style guide rules. Adjustments in format may be required when applying it to your Word document.
