Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Resources: Managing Your References

Citation Management Tools

Now that you've found a variety of sources, how are you going to keep track of your references?  Fortunately, you don't have to resort to index cards anymore.  Most databases (including CINAHL, Medline, and PubMed) allow you to create a free account to save, organize, and export your citations.

Even better, reference management software allows you to keep all of your references (even from different databases, catalogs, and websites) in one central place.  There are many citation management tools available for free or purchase that allows you to store references, share references and create citation works.

The HPU Libraries recommend using Zotero.
