The World Digital Library

A wonderful resource, built and maintained by UNESCO and the US Library of Congress, this site offers digital images of important historical documents and images from around the world, throughtout history. Highly recommended.

Avalon Project at the Yale Law School: Documents in Law, History and Government
This website provides digital primary source documents in law, history, economics, politics, diplomacy, and government. Materials include Nuremberg Trials Collection, the Native American Treaty collection, and the Cuban Missile Crisis.

A gateway to resources in the form of articles, books and links for various fields of history and countries or regions of the world.

Japan Policy Research Institute

American Memory
The site is published/updated by the Library of Congress, all material is unique to their collection. This site provides manuscripts, audio, maps, books, and much more covering the cultural history of America.
 
Core Documents of U.S. Democracy
"Direct online access to the basic Federal Government documents that define our democratic society, a core group of current and historical Government publications is being made available for free, permanent, public access via GPO Access." (Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Presidential Speeches, Demographic information, etc.)
 
Making of America
Making of America is a digital library containing primary sources in American social history from the antebellum period through reconstruction. The collection currently contains approximately 9,500 books and 50,000 journal articles with 19th century imprints. Very well done.

Created by Thomas Daccord, it contains links to over 1,200 history-related web sites that have been reviewed for quality, accuracy, and usefulness. This is a very nice website, which is easy to use and has won lots of awards.
