Make your searches more precise by:

  • Using filters options listed on the left side of your results

Accessing eBooks

When you find eBooks in HPU Discovery, all you need is to click on the View eBook link in order to be launched to the database that hosts that eBook. Note: If you are off-campus you will be prompted to input your Blackboard credentials before you're directed to the database.

We have eBooks from a variety of databases, which makes the platform for each book different.  Most platforms will allow you to read the book online without having to downloading it. We recommend to download eBooks only when you will not have internet access, otherwise, reading online is the preferred method. Some eBooks have limitation on the number of readers that can access the eBook at the same time. Some only allow one reader at a time, some three readers or others have unlimited access like the example below, where you can go to a specific section of the book and start reading online.
